Three people in their twenties, including a woman, traveled from Panama to Bocas del Toro evading sanitary fences intended to prevent the movement of people during the  COVID- 19 crisis.

They were finally stopped by agents from the  National Police Substation in Chiriqui Grande when they tried  to walk past the Health Control Post in the township of Punta Peña. They claimed they worked in the capital city and lived in Chiriquí Grande, but could not name a district.

There are only two cases of COVID-19 in the province of Bocas del Toro women the aged, 69 and 32. years old One is hospitalized and the other under house quarantine.
