Strong waves alert for Pacific coast

WITH a strong waves alert in place from noon on Sunday,July 7,  to Tuesday, July 9  the Emergency Operations Center of the Civil Protection System (Sinaproc)  has called on captains of light vessels to take extreme security measures and asked people who go to the beaches, take precautions and avoid bathing if they observe strong waves. The warning says that there are forecasts of waves that go from 0.5 meters to 2.0 meters high, with periods of between 9.5 to 17 seconds and winds from 15 to 35 kilometers per hour.
