The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) issued a prevention notice on  Saturday, which runs until Tuesday, February 15, due to strong waves in the Panamanian Caribbean.

Among the  affected areas are the Guna Yala region and the coast above Colón with waves of 1.0 to 3.0 meters.

Also the coast below Colón, the northern part of Veraguas, Bocas del Toro, and the Ngäbe Buglé region with waves of 0.5 to 2.5 meters.

Sinaproc recommends avoiding carrying out recreational activities and anchoring the boats in protected areas.
