Forced landing at Albrook airport

PANAMA Fire Department staff were called to the Marcos A. Gelabert, airport in Albrook, by firefighters from the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC )when a plane carrying five people was unable to land because of problems with the landing gear.

 The Panama registered plane was forced to circle the airport, while preparations were made for a forced landing.
When emergency equipment was in place , the control tower gave landing instructions to the pilot to land Without its front landing gear the the aircraft skidded off the runway and the firemen moved in to rescue the five passengers who escaped injury. AAC personnel sprayed foam on the runway and near the aircraft to avoid sparks in the fuselage. The AAC is investigating the incident
