Panama player with Cardinals tests positive for Covid-19

Panamanian baseball player Edmundo Sosa was confirmed on Tuesday  as one of six  players in the of the San Luis Cardinals organization as one of the seven players that has tested positive for Covid-19 .

"Unfortunately I have tested positive for Covid-19, after following all the rules and protocols that the MLB and the Cardinals imposed on us," said e the Panamanian player on his official Instagram account Edmundo Sosa.

" I hope that everyone respects the privacy of my family during these difficult times, ”he added.

The six players who were reported as positive are: catcher Yadier Molina ; infielders Paul DeJong , Edmundo Sosa , Rangel Ravelo ; and pitchers Junior Fernández and Kodi Whitley .

Sosa, 25, is in his third season in the Major Leagues with the Cardinals.
