Hospital fire forces patient evacuation

A FIRE in the electrical room of the Chepo Regional Hospital on Monday, June 17, sent black smoke billowing through the building and led to the evacuation of dozens of patients and staff.to the parking lot.  where they waited until those in delicate condition were transferred to other medical centers. The Fire Service extinguished the fire and are conducting an investigation to determine the cause  The Hospital remained closed on Tuesday, with only medical staff allowed in..
