PRD  deputy Kayra Harding,   has presented a  gender violence complaint  in the Supreme Court  against   fellow caucus  member Jairo Bolita Salazar  

The  complaint follows an attack on  the Colon parliamentarian yesterday in a  committee discussion where her  partner Mario López was also attacked

Harding said  that the Supreme Court has to appoint a substantive fiscal magistrate who must initiate the investigation to make the accusation and with three magistrates in a room of guarantees judges they will decide whether to accept the imputation as well as other measures.

"Jairo Bolota Salazar is an aggressive man, I fear for my safety he sits behind me, He physically and verbally assaulted me … there 27  deputies in the place where the attack took place, ”said Harding. deputy.

Salazar, known as a loose cannon is already under investigation over two incidents in which  he challenged police to fights, and was condemned by President Laurentino Cortizo   for homophobic comments in the National Assembly

The head of the PRD caucus, Ricardo Torres said that it is up to the Credentials Commission to evaluate the case.
