A bank worker and former public servant, was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office with support from the National Police.   The apprehended woman worked at a National Bank here in Panama known as Caja de Ahorros and whose job description was that of Payment Methods Manager.  There was alleged involvement in crimes against the public administration, such as financial crimes including embezzlement and crimes against the economic order.   According to what we know, this arrest was carried out through a search of a residence located in the district of Río Abajo.  Computer type equipment and documents were also seized on site.  According to investigators, the former official of Caja de Ahorros, used her position to create a financial loss to the bank through credit cards for the sum of $16,306.94.  The woman was placed under orders of the Public Ministry for corrective measures.
