RAISA Banfield, Panama’s stand-in mayor while the incumbent sets his sights on becoming a presidential candidate has been told to appear before The Agricultural Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, or be taken there.

PRD deputy and Committee chairman Carlos Motta, warned Banfield, who has ambitions to follow in the footsteps of current Mayor  Jose Isobel Blandon, that if she does not appear they will have her brought under escort.

Motta sent a letter to Banfield, pointing out that it is the third time that the call has been made and mentioned the articles that allow the National Assembly to order an official. to attend.

Banfield was summoned to the Committee to explain how the producers of the Mercado de Abastos Market will move to Merca Panama.
