A 6.4 magnitude earthquake  was felt throughout  the province of Chiriquí, at 3.56 pm on Saturday.

While in social networks, residents of Bocas del Toro, Coclé, Colón, Herrera, Los Santos, Panama, Panama Oeste and Veraguas said they had felt the tremor.

Monitoring of the entire area is carried out to determine any type of affectation. The National Air Naval Service also watches over the Chirican coasts.

"We ask the population to remain calm, and if another aftershock occurs, after it happens, a safe place must be found," Sinaproc said.
