Over 200 lawsuits over alleged irregular promotions and reinstatements within the National Police, the Senan, and Senafront, made in the last administration have been filed in the Supreme Court by  Security Minister Rolando Morones.

When the court makes its rulings their salaries will be returned to to the national treasury Mirones said during an  appearance before the National Assembly

He did not mention the names of those denounced but said that he has already acted internally to strip them of their posts.

"These people cannot command forces and do not have the moral authority to exercise those positions," he said.

Mirones revealed that in addition to irregular promotions, the use of a $12 million for the payment of pensions was denounced.

He added that once the Court rules on these cases, the relevant criminal complaints will be made.

During his appearance before the Assembly, Mirones also outlined  changes that will be made in the management of security  forces with the creation of the Credibility and Trust Control Center, the Ministry Security will  permanently apply psychological, toxicology socio-economic and polygraph tests, both to civil servants and uniformed officers, who work in the different public security entities. The tests will be applied in all missions, and in cases of promotion.

A vice-Ministry of Integral Prevention will have as its main objective the implementation of measures to prevent children from falling into crime.
