On Friday, May 14, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported  588 new covid -19 infections after the application of 10,155 tests for positivity of 5.7%. It was the third consecutive day that new cases exceeded 500. There were four deaths bringing the total since the pandemic began to 6,292.

The number of active cases is 5,081. with 4,747 In home isolation. There are 334 hospitalized of which 52 are in intensive care.
