Sixteen “alternative” National Assembly deputies who have had two hands in the public purse as they work in other State entities have had their salaries suspended.

 The Comptroller General, Gerardo Solís, ordered the suspension of the payment of salaries  on Tuesday, February 11,

The decision came  after the Supreme Court denied the action for the protection of constitutional rights filed in favor of 16 alternate deputies

The Comptroller said that with the knowledge of the ruling he ordered the immediate suspension of the salaries, and fuel allowances of all the alternate deputies who work in another entity that is not the National Assembly and by virtue of He also sent a note notifying the president of the National Assembly, Marcos Castillero.

"We must proceed to comply with that decision, in accordance with the provisions of the final  paragraph of Article 206 of the Political Constitution of the State that establishes that the decisions of the Supreme Court are final,” wrote Solis
