After nearly seven months of shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic , Tocumen International Airport restarted international flights on Monday, October 12 with scores of passengers arriving in the early hours  to find 85% of  the airport businesses open.

Raffoul Arab. manager of Tocumen SA, confirmed  that on the first day of the "new normal" 80 daily operations were  scheduled to 36 cities in 20 countries, with seven   airlines providing service.

The airlines operating are Spirit, Wingo, Copa Airlines, KLM, United, Delta and Avianca.

The incoming and outgoing flights are from the United States, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Guatemala, Argentina and Brazil, the Dominican Republic, among others.

From the early hours of this Monday, the movement of passengers began in the air terminal to board domestic and international flights.

Arab said that the reopening of the airport is taking place with strict biosafety measures and  the Ministry of Health is in charge of verifying that passengers entering the country have their negative swab certificate.

There are  three swabbing stations for those who do not have a negative test certificate. The tests applied take between 20 to 25 minutes. If there is a positive case, it is coordinated with the Ministry of Health for the application of the respective protocol.

Thanks Homer. But having been in " Covid house arrest " in Alto Boquete for some time now, I am mostly looking at managing my budget adequately. Trying to do one from here means traveling to David. Taking the buses is out of the question as, people are wearing mask, but no Social Distancing. I have investigated taxis,. Their pricing is horrendous. Also, there's the question of timing. That is why I was most interested in doing it at the Airport. But, Muchos Gracias anyway. Much appreciated.

Really amazing how some can bring in politics on every f*cking subject. The majority here must be pissing vinegar every day...... To show a negative test result, you can visit any private hospital. Cost is around 55 I think but could be more depending on what test they perform. Avoid Minsa, with them you will come out positive even if you only register and don't show up.

Before anyone makes a condescending comment about my triple messaging, I did it on purpose so that Mr Condescending read it up and swallows it completely. Thank you.

Thank you casual observer. Honestly agree with you. MHogan is really spiteful unfortunately. Trumpards are that way...what can I say. Sure, I did make a typing mistake, which rarely happens. But instead of at least trying to help, he prefers being condescending. But at least, he still understood what country I was talking about. I guess I can say he's not toooooooooooooooooooooo stupid. By the way, Mr. MHogan, I speak French, English and Spanish. Can you match that, stoooopid?

Since you’ve expressed interest in going to “Columbia”, might be nice if you learned how to spell it.

Anyone with the right info or where to get it? I would like to go to Columbia, but do not know where to get a PRC test before leaving. Is it possible at the airport for that amount and if so, do we get a proper document to show on arrival in Columbia? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Panama ist ein Scheissland mit einem Scheissdiktator. Tocumen ? Uninteressant. Translation : Panama is a Swamp land with a crooked dictator. Tocumen ? Not in plans for the rest of my life.
