Countrywide weather alert through Saturday

WITH SOIL in most areas already saturated by previous heavy rainfall the Emergency Operations Center (COE)  has issued a countrywide green alert from Thursday, July 26 through  Saturday, July 28. It is due to a low-pressure system that remains anchored throughout the country. The system interacts with the monsoon trough, causing clouds and downpours on the slopes of the Pacific and the Caribbean and flooding and landslides in many locations is likely to follow.
