Friendship Without Borders extending reach

The Canadian Association of Panama whose motto is “Friendship without Borders” plans to increase membership and broaden its community activities during the coming year.

 A new Board of Directors was elected at a recent annual meeting.
The board is: Enrique Williams, President; David Young 1st Vice President; Joseph Ennis 2nd Vice President; Joseph Dziver, secretary; Howard Walker, Treasurer; Mercedes Del Castillo and Enoc Valesquez.
Membership at $20 a year is open to all Canadians, and those who have an interest in the country. Left to right: Enoc Valesquez,Howard Walker, Enrique Williams, Mercedes Del Castillo, David Young, Joseph Ennis,and Joseph Dziver.
Members and all who care to drop by meet at 1 p.m. on the first Saturday of every month at The Don Blas Restaurant on Calle Uruguay (a few meters from Calle 50, across the road from Hooters).
The Association has also been involved in raising funds for indigenous schools, providing scholarships for English teachers, developing English classes for Panamanian students as well creatingas social events surrounding important days on the Canadian calendar like Canada Day, and Canadian Thanksgiving.  {jathumbnail off}
