The Executive, through the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, transferred command of the National Police, the Naval Air Service, the National Border Service and the Institutional Protection Service to the Electoral Court or Tribunal with a view to the elections on May 5.  This happens six days before the general elections and continues until the proclamation of the new President of the Republic is made.
