Representatives from 10 countries will participate for two days in the Central American Security Conference, hosted this year in Panama, and will be focused on joint assistance and collaboration in the face of natural disasters, humanitarian assistance programs, irregular migration, and applied experiences. by security forces during the Covid-19 pandemic, reports the Ministry of Public Security.

Delegations from the public security agencies of the United States, Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Mexico, and Panama will hold meetings with experts from the Center for Prevention and Natural Disasters of Central America, who will also have the opportunity to share experiences with representatives of security organizations from Canada, France, and the United Kingdom, who will participate in the event virtually, said the Ministry.

The conference, organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the United States Embassy, ​​will be held on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 June.
