Institutional weakness is a tare of underdevelopment. Arbitrariness in the management of state affairs leads to business uncertainty and causes a fall in investments, employment and prosperity. Events such as the process of constitutional reforms, the inability of the Judicial Branch to produce the certainty of punishment in high-profile cases and the resignation of the attorney general of the Nation, are shocks that affect institutionality.

However, business associations and economic analysts call attention to the political class, to take advantage of the institutional crisis and turn it into a qualitative leap in terms of democracy and justice. The president of the Republic has assumed significant leadership in relation to constitutional reforms, that has restored calm to the country. Likewise, to proceed responsibly with the appointment of magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice, and of a new attorney general, there will be a substantial improvement in trust inside and outside the country.
