The organizations that make up the National Alliance for the Rights of the Organized People (Anadepo) met on Friday with Vice-President, José Gabriel Carrizo, and a government commission to reach an understanding for a dialogue on the crisis in the country.

Professor Luis Sánchez, from the Association of Veragüenses Educators (Aeve), which is part of Anadepo, confirmed that the talks with the government commission began at 11:00 am at the Normal School in Santiago, Veraguas.

Carrizo arrived in the afternoon to join the conversations.

Also representing the Executive are the Vice Minister of the Presidency, Carlos García, and the Counselor Minister for the Facilitation of Private Investment, José Rojas Pardini, among other authorities.

Given the high cost of living, Anapepo is proposing that fuel prices be frozen at $3.00 a gallon that the high-level dialogue table be held in the city of Santiago and that the Ombudsman participates as a mediator.

While the meeting was taking place, inside the school, teachers and members of other organizations gathered outside chanting slogans.
