Two foreigners jailed in child-pornography sweep

Two “foreigners” have been added to the list of seven people already linked to child pornography in Panama who will spend six months in preventive detention while investigations continue.

A judge of guarantees in Coclé laid charges for child pornography and ordered the provisional detention of the foreigners, during a hearing on Saturday, September 7.

In addition, the suspension of exercising the profession of computer technician was ordered to one of the suspects. A doctor and three schoolteachers are among those previously detained following the international operation “Luz de la Infancia 5” that took place simultaneously in the United States, Brazil, Ecuador, Chile, El Salvador, Paraguay, and in  13 locations in Panama, the hub of the network
