Strong winds and heavy rain brought down a giant tree on  Wednesday afternoon, on Amistad Ave near the Chinese Panama school in the capital soon after a weather alert for Tropical Wave 37. Traffic was interrupted and The Fire Department and a Civil Defense System(Sinaproc) team were called in to remove the tree. The alert remains in place until 11 p.m. Friday.
