Taxi impaled on highway raises toll to 231

A speeding taxi driver in his early twenties was killed on the Corridor Norte on Sunday morning, October 20, when he lost control of his vehicle which was impaled on a guard rail. The driver was thrown from the car which burst into flames. On Saturday in Chiriqui, a motorcyclist crashed into a ditch  and was killed. The two deaths bring Panama’s highway death toll this year to 231
