Two people allegedly involved in the gunning down of independent electoral candidate Fidel Álvarez were arrested on Tuesday, April 23, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP).

Álvarez was killed on March 31,  in a public area in the sector known as the Golden Frog.  Another person who was with Álvarez at the time of the shooting was also killed.
