A sting operation in La Chorrea uncovered an alleged  bribery deal involving a Public Ministry  prosecutor 

The Supreme Court of Appeals of Panama West confirmed the decision of the Warranty Judge, Justo Fajardo, to impose to. a periodic report on the 15th and 30th of each month, the impediment to leaving the country and the separation from the post of the accused prosecutor.

According to the the Anticorruption prosecutors, the lawyer Edgardo Reeder filed a complaint with the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, in which a deputy prosecutor of Panama West, took a case for the crime of rape and proposed to the lawyer of the suspect that they would perform an abortion on the minor victim of the crime and that the cost would be $600.

An envelope with money was delivered in the facilities of the Public Prosecutor's Office, on February 5.
