A security guard who thwarted an attempted robbery at the  Paitilla branch of the Banco General on Monday morning was shot and injured.

The security agent detected suspicious behavior of some people near the entrance of the bank and reportedly fired a few shots into the air and, in response, the criminals hit him in the shoulder.,

The health condition of the security agent is stable, the bank reported. "All our staff and clients are doing well," it posted  on social networks
