The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), issued an alert to bathers on Sunday, October 24.

The wake-up call extends until Tuesday, October 26. The areas under surveillance with wave heights up to 2.0 meters are: Gulf and Bay of Panama, Los Santos, South Veraguas, and Gulf of Chiriquí.

They recommend that citizens avoid activities in coastal areas, and those living near coastal areas, who should be aware of the waves and rip tides that can endanger life and cause flooding.
