The second stage of the move to reopen economic activity the country which begins on Monday, June 1   is only  “ a step towards normalization," said Heath Minister Rosario Turner on Sunday, May 31 the last day of the quarantine," May 31 but warned that they will be monitoring the results of the easing and if there are regions where the goals are not met, they will re-apply sanitary fences and epidemiological measures, such as quarantine.

Turner, during a visit to  litter filled streets in San Miguelito which has  one of the highest numbers of coronavirus cases handed out face masks to local residents.

She   reiterated: “If you don't have to leave your home, don't do it; And if you wear a mask, maintain social distance, and constantly wash your hands.

These hygiene measures, she said, are the weapon that we all have to prevent the spread of coronavirus adding that in recent days there has been an increase in new cases.

According to the minister, they were able to identify where the new cases have been registered. And they determined that it has spread due to cultural aspects of the population.

In many cases, people use mouth covers but do not wash their hands. "There is false security," she said. The important thing is to apply all hygiene measures.
