Less than a week after the incident that left a police officer dead and two others injured in the La Joya prison, another National Police agent was injured with a firearm, this time when he was on verification duty at a clandestine party or "parking" in the Santa Ana sector.

At the scene, according to police reports, several people were consuming alcoholic beverages when the attack occurred.

The event occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 12, in a building on Calle 16, where after the shooting, a police operation took place, recovering three firearms, and several people were apprehended, said Deputy Commissioner Jorge Bryant.

The police agent was transferred to a medical center and remains stable, while operational actions are maintained in the area.

These clandestine parties are characterized by the consumption of alcoholic beverages, disturb the peace of the neighbors, threaten peaceful coexistence, and generate acts of violence reports TVN.

The Public Ministry opened an investigation into the crime of attempted homicide.
