A TEENAGER  who was the mistaken target of an attempted assassination in critical condition in a Colon hospital with seven bullet wounds.

The shooting took place in Calle La Enfermera, in Nuevo México,  on Friday, August 24. Police units  arrived on the scene within minutes and the injured youth  was taken to the emergency room of the Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital Complex,

Police sources told El Siglo that he received at least seven bullet wounds.

According to the preliminary investigations, the assassins confused him with another subject. A police search is underway for the gunman.
