CONCERNS  about water shortages and the falling  ability of Panama’s hydroelectric  plants to deliver the energy needed, businesses  are looking to  alternative sources to aid  the bottom line and the environment.

Arce Avicola (Poultry)  has  installed 2,055 solar panels distributed among four of its  farms , which is considered a major environmental contribution resulting in a CO2 reduction of 496 tons in the first year. The project will produce clean energy represented a monthly savings of about $10,000.00.

Panasonic  made the “turnkey” operation  which means it  supplied  equipment and products, inspection and complete project design, installation of the entire system and all procedures required permits to make the project a reality and provide long term support  and operation of the system.
