At least seven countries will take part in Panama’s seventh International Book Fair  in Atlapa in August.

For many in the region  it has become an annual pilgrimage, and the opportunity to feed the mind, meet with writers, mingle with other book lovers, enjoy some theater,  and snap up some reading bargains.

The fair with the slogan "Every book has a rhythm that moves you," and dubbed the country’s most important literary event, will involve authors from Spain, United States, France, Colombia, Mexico and Panama.

It will run August 24-28 with the Dominican Republic as a guest country. The president of the Panamanian Chamber of Books (CPL), Briseis Bloise, said at a news conference that the fair will have acultural program with the presentation of plays, exhibits, symposiums, and workshops to promote reading and a children's section.
Publishers, libraries, museums, magazines, universities and the media will occupy 7,000 square meters of space.
