Highway death toll reaches 250

The 67-year-old driver of a small pickup was killed in a head-on collision on Friday, September 14 in Rio Hato, Panama West.

The accident was caused by a vehicle whose driver lost control while believed to have been chatting on a smartphone. “Inattention” is a major cause of traffic accidents in Panama.
