The Government announced Friday (April 16) the creation of a four team task force, to deal with the garbage crisis in the capital.

The Metropolitan garbage collector (DIMAUD) which doesn’t have enough equipmen to copeis included.
Notably absent at the announcement by Minister of the Presidency, Jimmy Papadimitriu, was city mayor Bosco Vallariono.
He was in his own corner announcing what he called "Operation Swarmer."
An observer pointed out the unfortunate choice of words. Flies swarm.
Papdimitriu said that the central government had hired three companies as garbage collectors for 90 days -at a cost of $ 2.7 million.
They also hired 12 bulldozers, eight dump trucks and 28 vans.
The capital will be divided into four areas to be cleared by the contractors and DIMAUD.

"The president, Ricardo Martinelli, asked the Ministry of the Presidency to resolve the problem of garbage, and that's what we're doing," said the minister.
