Extreme UV rates weekend alert

The National Civil Protection  System (SINAPROC) has issued a prevention warning for the maximum rates of ultraviolet (UV) radiation in Panama. through Thursday January 10.  there will be very high ultraviolet radiation rates of 8 to 9 in the Comarca Ngäbe Buglé and North  Veraguas; very high from 9 to 10 in Panama, Bocas del Toro, Colon, Darién, the Emberá Comarca, the Guna Yala Comarca and the maritime sector of the Panamanian Caribbean. The use of dark UV glasses, broad-brimmed headwear and skin protection lotion is recommended from 9 am to 5 pm.
