A WEATHER  alert was issued by The Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the Civil Protection System  (Sinaproc) on  Saturday, October  20 and will last through Monday with the promise of  heavy rains  and high waves on both coasts

A  technical report from the Directorate of Hydrometeorology of Etesa warns of the arrival of a tropical wave to the isthmus, which will reinforce the rainy conditions in both the maritime sectors and terrestrial areas.

For Sunday, the surge in the Pacific Ocean is expected, from the Gulf of Chiriqui to the Azuero Peninsula, with high wave frequency and heights reaching two meters.

For Monday, October 22, an increase in clouds with moderate intensity rainfall is expected.

Sinaproc asks citizens to remain calm and avoid outdoor activity, and crossing rivers that have grown, and to avoid remaining in areas prone to landslides.
