ONE MAN was killed and another  critically injured when they fell nine floors down an elevator shaft at the Hard Rock Café Hotel on Avenida Balboa, in front of the Multicentro Shopping Center.

According to preliminary reports, the incident happened on Monday afternoon, August 21 when the two men were working on the elevator and it plunged down the shaft.

One was killed instantly. Public Ministry officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
