The Colon lawmaker Dr. Mario Lazarus facing culpable homicide charges after running over a 14-year-old girl, in Buena Vista and then driving home before returning to discover the victim had been removed by paramedics on December 27, will be tried in the Supreme Court on September 12.

After the event, the deputy issued a statement claiming to have been "involved in the traffic accident and making himself available to the family to provide all necessary support, as well as before the competent authority."

The minor was near her house when she was  hit by the vehicle that the politician was driving.
