Motorcyclists protest draft law  that may ban pillion riders

A group of motorcycle riders carried out a protest caravan through the streets of the city of David on Saturday to ask the members of the Communication and Transportation Committee of the National Assembly to withdraw a draft bill that, they said, will harm them. Alerts were raised because it could be prohibited to carry passengers on motorcycles if the bill is approved. Participants in the caravan said they use this type of transport to get to their jobs and other points. It is estimated that around 60,000 motorcycles circulate in Panama.
