PANAMA CITY/ 27 new victims have joined the civil lawsuit that 35 people filed several months ago against the NGO Global SOS Children Villages International, based in Austria, for alleged sexual, physical, and psychological abuse suffered at its headquarters in Panama, between 1980 and 1990, and for which they demand more than 43 million dollars as compensation.

Domingo Barrios, president of SOS Children's Villages in Panama, said in an interview on TVN this Wednesday that seven of the demands have already been admitted, 10 are in process and in 18 no pronouncement has been issued by the authorities.

He also confirmed that 27 new victims have joined this lawsuit that was filed in August in the First Civil Circuit of Panama and in which each of the alleged victims demands compensation of $1.2 million.
