The representative of France in Miss Universe, Clémence Botino, tested positive for Covid when she arrived in Israel, home of the pageant this year.

According to the Miss Universe organization, most of the 80 contestants have arrived in Israel. The girls were scheduled to arrive between Sunday 28 and Monday 29 November.

According to sites specialized in contests, the 24-year-old French miss was taken by ambulance for her isolation. It was also mentioned that the candidate had contact with her companions from Panama, Nicaragua, Mexico, Bahamas, and Albania. Apparently, they traveled together.
