PRD legislator Arquesio  Arias who is a doctor  appeared at a Supreme Court hearing  behind closed doors on Friday, October 18 and was charged with carnal rape and libidinous acts

The complainant requested that hearing be carried in camera with only the intervening parties present in the courtroom because sensitive issues involving minors would be aired.

Neither Judge Olmedo Arrocha, the prosecutor of the case, nor the defense of Deputy Arias opposed the petition. Judge Arrocha requested a hearing of precautionary measures by the Supreme Court Plenary.

The hearing will be Monday at 2:00 pm, the purpose of which is to apply precautionary measures to the deputy.
