Controversial PRD lawmaker Jairo 'Bolota' Salazar  who made headlines across the country when he refused to allow members  of the LGBT community to enter the National Assembly is back in the news after  challenging  a National Police  officer to take off his uniform for a fight after police were called to a rowdy party in the early hours  of Sunday morning I'm used to being in the show',

The party was in the multifamily apartment community of Altos de Los Lagos in Colon, where agents of the National Police (PN) , were assaulted with bottles while they attempted to restore order.

Salazar came out in defense of one of the attackers and went to, and went to the local police headquarters Once at the barracks, Salazar threatened to break the head of one of the police officers and invited him to take off his uniform, as well as saying that he would take off his parliamentary investiture.  Reports TVN. PN Director Jorge Miranda, said that investigations are being carried out in the case, and corresponding judicial processes will be applied to whoever is responsible.

Rookie  Deputy Salazar first drew media attention when he debuted at the Assembly and complained about pay and allowances. After his homophobic rant he  was controversially named as the flag bearer in the November 5 independence parade in Colon.

During the latest incident, he screamed at photographers to “go ahead and shoot. I’m not afraid of the cameras  I’m used to being in the show”
