Jewelry store becomes fifth major hit in three  months

Three men dressed as Muslims and two as agents of the cleaning authority (AAUD) robbed a jewelry store in the Obarrio sector on Wednesday afternoon, getting away with a substantial amount and becoming the fifth major heist in less than three months. On  Monday thieves raided the branch of the Savings Bank (Caja de Ajhorras) located in El Ingenio in the district of Betania prompting police to mount guard  at all 61 branches of the bank.
