Humanitarian Assistance hub ships record tonnage

The Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH), located in Panama and one of five in the world, shipped 1,496 tons of supplies to different countries in America and the Caribbean between January and November, the highest quantity since it was inaugurated in 2018, the Panamanian Government reported Sunday.

The supplies were dispatched to 38 nations of the continent and valued at $26.9 million served to face the covid-19 pandemic and the effects of natural disasters such as the earthquake in Haiti last August.

The Ministry of Government said  in a statement that according to CLRAH reports, in 2018 the entity handled 886 tons of assistance valued at $8 million; in 2019 there were 603 tons worth $4 Million.
