Human rights officers of Panama’s  Ombudsman's Office toured the facilities of lines 1 and 2 of the Panama Metro on Thursday morning  May 9 to check facilities for people with disabilities.

They were there to verify issues related to the status of the elevators, and escalators and the presence or absence of personnel that should be designed to help the person with some type of disability.

According to the human rights officers, the inspection followed the complaints received by users of the transportation system.

During the tour, the officials said they could verify that an elevator at the San Isidro and  an escalator at the Los Andes station   do not work
