Gas explosion child victim heads to Galveston specialized hospital

Miguel Ignacio Muñoz Lima the child under five years of age who was severely burned in a gas explosion in the PH Costa Mare in Don Bosco, on May 31,  and remains in critical condition, was transferred to a specialized hospital in Galveston,  Texas, at noon on Wednesday, June 5.

Gilberto Arosemena, of the Abou Saad Shriners Panama organization, said that the transfer was made in coordination with the doctors of the Hospital Del Nino (Children's Hospital)  and foreign specialists His medical expenses will be paid by the Abou Saad Shriners Panama organization.

The boy victim traveled by air ambulance to Galveston where his father who had gone ahead was waiting at the hospital. A medical team arrived at Ancon airport at 10.35 a.m to evaluate the victim's condition and travel with him on the four-hour return flight

On  Sunday, the 10-month-old baby brother of Miguel Ignacio's died from his burns. Their badly burned mother remains in intensive care.
