As widely anticipated the defense of former President Ricardo Martinelli presented before the judges of the Oral Trial Court a new certificate of medical incapacity, given by the neurosurgeon Waltter Kravcio.

The new medical disability runs from July 21 the day he is scheduled to face trial for illegal wiretapping and runs to August 20, 202

The information was released on Twitter by Luis Ernesto Camacho, spokesman for the former president.

It comes just days after Martinelli hosted a gathering of his supporters at his family clubhouse and set in motion plans to unite his new party (RM) and moves to  get his sons detained in Guatemela  for over a year returned to Panama to face “justice.” Currently, they are awaiting extradition to the United States on money laundering charges and in Panama for multiple alleged crimes.
