In five days, 1000  free plates of food have been delivered to doctors and nurses working on the front line in the fight against  the coronavirus

Chefs  chefs, restaurant owners, foodies delivery platforms and anonymous volunteers are working to send to  the  different hospitals in the country.

"The initiative, called Food for Our Heroes PTY, started this week, and at least 50 restaurants, the ASAP delivery platform and seven anonymous volunteers have already joined," said Carla Severino, who manages the Foodloverspty instagram account, from where the idea went viral.

Plates of food were delivered to the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital; the San Miguelito clinic; the Santo Tomás Hospital; the Social Security Fund and the Irma de Lourdes de Tzanetatos Hospital, in n December 24.

"We are organizing to get food  to the Nicolás Solano Hospital, in La Chorrera, as well as other hospitals in Chiriquí and Veraguas," says Severino.
