A 47-year old employee in the archives section of the Electoral Tribunal (TE) in David, Chiriqui who had videos and photographs of girls under 10 years-of-age modeling lingerie and engaged in sexual acts with adults was ordered held in preventive detention by a Judge of Guarantees  on Saturday, September 7

Carlos Horacio,Espinoza Gonzales will remain in detention for six months while investigations continue into a child pornography distribution network in Panama. uncovered in an international investigation that led to simultaneous raids in countries from the United States, through the Panama hub to South America.

Thousands of videos and photos were seized, and in Panama to date, nearly a dozen people are behind bars for possession and distribution  of child pornography. If convicted they face sentences of up  to 15 years in jail and persecution by prison inmates
